VEHICLE SEAT SENSOR

The SPAND VEHICLE Seat Pressure Sensor Pad detects the presence of an occupant on the seat using a pressure-sensitive layer made of polyester, aluminum foil, and foam.When someone sits on the seat:

• The sensor changes resistance (or capacitance) due to applied pressure.

• This signal is sent to the vehicle’s control system.

• If the seat is occupied and the seat belt is not fastened, the system triggers a warning light or buzzer to remind the passenger to buckle up.

• When the passenger leaves the seat, the signal resets automatically.
